A Family Tradition Since 1968
Our story began in 1968 when Lloyd and Kay Barthau opened the original Barthau Jewellers in Markham, Ontario. Built on a commitment to quality, integrity, and exceptional customer service, the business quickly became a trusted name in the community.

In 1978, David and Janet Barthau continued that tradition by opening a second location in Stouffville, establishing the foundation for the store our customers know today.

Now proudly owned by Darren & Colleen Barthau, the third generation of the Barthau family, Barthau Jewellers continues to honour its heritage while embracing new ideas, contemporary designs, and evolving customer needs.

Although jewellery styles have changed over the decades, our commitment to treating customers with honesty, respect, and genuine care remains unchanged.

We also offer professional jewellery appraisal services through our regularly scheduled appraisal clinic, with a visiting appraiser approximately once a month. Customers can arrange an appointment or inquire about our convenient drop-off option.
